Feedback gevenDuring my visit, the only gluten-free option available was a cake that was stored on the same shelf as non-gluten-free food without proper separation. As a result, I could only have a black tea, which was amazing. Unfortunately, I suspect that the sugar used may have contained gluten. It was a brown powder unlike any other brown sugar I have seen, possibly coconut sugar that could have been contaminated with gluten. Due to this, I do not consider this place safe for those with celiac disease. It's a shame because I really wanted more of that tea!
This café is amazing with the best tea and friendly service, but as a person with Coeliac Disease, my experience was not great. The only gluten-free option was a cake kept with non-gluten-free food, and I ended up getting glutened, possibly from the sugar. Unfortunately, this place is not safe for Coeliacs. However, I highly recommend it to gluten-tolerant friends to support this wonderful little spot. I would go back just for that incredible tea!
