Vibes are good. Yet this past time I went, the bartender really ruined the night. I'm not sure her name or who she is but, wow, she was rude. The young staff are all so nice, respectful, and knowledgeable, yet this one individual was very rude, to both clients and the young staff. Food is phenomenal, but if I walk in and see the blonde bartender with an accessory of a BABY, I will be going elsewhere, and so will the rest of the group I was with.
Who hasn't driven by and smelled the amazing aroma of smoking meat, and thought it's a bad idea to eat this? Well, minus your vegans and vegetarians. However, I do know a few that will admit to the smell being torturous. The service here is really friendly, and a location that's easy to get to. The portions are generous, and delicious. The Burnt Kevin is SO good! I think you could put burnt ends in a shoe and make it taste good. If you are hungry, or craving barbecue, you should stop on in!
Ordered carryout recently for the family and I. Food quality was decent for a chain restaurant. However, charging me for the little souffle cups of Barbecue sauce really rubbed me wrong. You're a barbeque restaurant. It's a condiment. I live 5 minutes away, and for that reason alone, I won't be back. Edit, thanks for responding. For the record, I ordered a slab of ribs, burnt ends and a pound of brisket. I was charged for six sides of sauce at 50 cents each. I was not given any sauce complimentary with my order.
We really wanted to like this place, but sadly it didn't meet our expectations. The restaurant itself lacks any character. The service is OK but the kitchen is slow. The worst part is that the food is bland, especially the pulled pork which is almost tasteless. If they didn't give you sauce it wouldn't be worth eating. I hope they can improve the food. We need some good BBQ in Affton since Phil's closed.
THIS IS NOT A CHAIN RESTAURANT! Sorry for the caps lock, but I had to make a point. I have driven by both of the Super Smokers locations for years now, and always dismissed them as a chain restaurant. Their vibrant and professional signage gives off the vibes of a big corporate chain restaurant, which can turn off the typical urban foodie. Despite their appearance, Super Smoker's is in fact a local, family-owned restaurant with a fun, vibrant local atmosphere and delicious food! I recommend anyone to give this place a visit, and sample what they have to offer!
