Up In Smoke Bbq - Afton

Brisket was the worst I've ever had! It was oily and it tasted like liquid smoke.

This is one of the best BBQ joints I've been to in Iowa. Their meats have amazing flavor and seasoning. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the food will come out cold.

Stopped in on a Friday night for a to go order.....half the items on the menu were not available! Waited for more than 30 minutes for food that wasn't very good. They also forgot to give us our rolls.

Brad and Heath were fantastic hosts at this small town BBQ spot. The ambiance was cozy and the food was delicious. We tried the two meat combo with burnt ends, pork tenderloin, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, cole slaw, and baked beans. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We enjoyed the sides just as much as the meat. We loved it so much that we came back the next day and had another great experience. The food, atmosphere, and hospitality were all top notch. A big thank you to Brad and Heath for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Oh my goodness, the food at this restaurant is simply incredible! The BBQ Nachos and ribs are mouthwatering and my family and I will definitely be returning to dine here again. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys BBQ cuisine.
