There is very minimal noise, a traditional “old fashioned” interior in a lovely room and beautifully set tables. There is a choice of ordering a 2, 3 or 4 course meal, mixing and matching from their standard menu and the day’s special items. My husband had salad and the Irish beef steak. Both very good. I had open ravioli with shrimp and scallops which was good but could have been more flavorful. And the bone-in monkfish which was outstanding. The 4 rating is about service, which was very attentive at all times, maybe too much so. The servers were not all able to answer food menu questions. And they were much too eager to remove items from the table causing us to feel a bit rushed. Overall a lovely and delicious meal.
We have just finished a Amazing meal in Rozzers with a party of eight people, 5 star service from John the manager , lovely staff I would highly recommend this restaurant in my opinion the best in Killaney, looking forward to our next Visit,
We have been visiting Rozzers annually for the last 10/15 years. We always eat the Kerry lamb and it’s always excellent. This year we arrived and the restaurant is now under new ownership and management. But the change was seamless. Plenty of old familiar faces and really friendly service but most of all the food was as good as ever a seamless changeover. I cannot recommend Rozzers enough. Great food great service and great value. You will not be disappointed.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would have given 4 stars but there were a couple of negatives that didn 't justify that: Two of us ordered Surf Turf for main course .Both of us asked for the steak to be cooked medium and the waiter acknowledged our requests. One of the dishes was cooked perfectly but unfortunately the other one was quite undercooked i.e. very rare and not only the fillet steak but also the lobster ! The person who received the offending dish is quite shy /hates to create a fuss , so just ate some of the outer parts of the steak and lobster that were properly cooked but left the rest, which rather spoiled their meal. It was disappointing that the kitchen got this so wrong especially as it was the most expensive dish on the menu, and also a pity as the dish that was cooked to medium as requested was very nice . Although the dining room was in itself a nice enough space, the lack of tablecloths really did take away from it. For a restaurant at this price point there really should be white tablecloths . Overall the food was very good apart from the one undercooked main course, which was a disappointment. Would we return again ? Yes we most likely will , as it deserves a second chance but Rozzers please pay more attention to cooking to the level of doneness requested by the customer and invest in some nice white tablecoths , which will improve the ambiance of your dining room immeasurably. You are a country house offering higher end food nice white tableclothes are a no brainer !
Having heard many positive recommendations from locals we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered we knew we had made the right choice. Ciaran expertly led us through the menu with great knowledge and attention to detail in a friendly and unobtrusive style. We opted for the open ravioli of scallops which was cooked to perfection, followed by the chateaubriand which were in informed was locally sourced, the quality of the beef surpassed our expectations, seasoned beautifully and cooked to our liking. I did think about getting lobster which you can see in the tank which is a nice touch. I guess we will have to return for that the next time!!
