Once inside you might come to the opposite conclusion. Our circumstance contributes to this conclusion. This is the perfect little Pizza/Pasta joint I was dreaming of when I booked our 2 week extravagant vacation. We had been held up leaving the airport. We had spent much more time at the Canadian War Cemetery in Agira than we expected. We had taken a couple of wrong turns and found ourselves about as far away from an urban centre as one could imagine. We turned back to Agira hoping to have our first meal of the day about 2:45PM. We found a couple of places, but they were closed or did not suit our needs. And then we walked into Café de la Place, Piazza Garibaldi, 1, Agira, EN. They were closed, but they invited us in. We don 't speak Italian and they did not speak english but we quickly agreed on four plates of Pasta Bolognese. It was possibly the best thing I 've ever eaten. Lets temper that with the fact I was very very hungry. Lets just say everything was fantastic, from the moment we stepped in until the moment we we said ciao. Save time to pay tribute to the young Canadian Soldiers, not only those who lost their lives fighting tyranny, but all who were prepared to do so. RESPECT!
