Feedback gevenGeneral Since open restaurants on the popular restaurant rest day Monday are rather short goods, we deteriorated into the very well maintained hotel at the castle on the green and beer garden provided Old Market in Ahrensburg. Parking is rough, but the hotel has a garage. The staff is very courteous and well trained; the ambience rather fine but due to the somewhat confuse and lost arrangement of the well-kept tables in the room, a somewhat snug indoor atmosphere is created here. Why not put a few more tables on the walls and windows instead of putting them in the middle? So by hotel guests the few places were almost all occupied but for us still exactly 1 table were available luck! What has been eaten: Carpaccio from beef with pesto with roasted pine nuts and parmesan pears €9,50; lambskin pink roasted with jus, vegetables and potatoes €17,50, Zanderfilet kross fried on leaf spinach, parmesan foam sauce and strip noodles €17,80, Zanderfilet on paws with potato supplement €17,50, calf livers pumonia with herbal jus etc. with potato pulp (not calculated); 2011 Riesling Quartzite Fl. €24,50, Weißburgunder 0,2l €4,50, Gerolsteiner Sprudel 0,7l €5, /0,25l €2,20, Schladerer fires 2cl €3,50 To take it forward the kitchen performance did not haute us today from the stool; the irritating operation made the impression that the daily shape of the colleagues with the cooking cap probably temporarily hangs something, but that made them professional by attention and kindness. The Riesling at fair price was cool as a harmoniously squirting summer wine without too much acidity. A small selection of baguettes with 3 small dips was served as a greeting from the kitchen: Geeister Gurkensalat and Sourcream without pressure; the curry tip very spicy tasty but much too thin. Carpaccio from beef in good quality tasteful and visually appealing 4*. The main dishes came after a pleasant waiting period nicely dressed on stylish high-quality preheated porcelain: The liver of the description I would have expected a whispery confined silice more boringly classic and thinly portioned fried on a mountain puree was ok but was a bit salted and therefore complained; the rich sauce also fine. A portion of fried liver was after long approx. 15min solo preserved and the dish not calculated very fair! The lambskin pink delicately perfect and well harmoniously spiced with light garlic notes remained clearly against the slightly matted very spicy additions. The Zanderfilet kross knackig well with neatly made pifferlings as small portion with only €9.50 fully satisfactorily calculated; in the variant on leaf spinach with band noodles, however, somewhat high-priced on a mini-mirror of very thin skinny rather expressive white sauce with a hint of parmesan, this was undersized compared to the noodle amount, too weak and after 2 bites all. An extra dish came very short on request, but could have been there from the beginning... Because of our experience, we were invited to coffee and there was nothing to put in care, and I'm going out from a slipper. We also try something else, but will eventually return to this otherwise recommended house.
