Shay's Smash Burgers - Aiea

Drove 30 minutes for a burger from Shay's. The food is outstanding, and one of the best burgers I've had on island. The prices of the hamburgers are very affordable all things considered. If you're hungry and looking for a burger that reminds you of an all American, delicious hamburger, look no further.

Me and the wife loved it very much and it was our first try and I highly recommend trying the #3 fun guy burger with the Fries and special sauce., it was super onolicious... Excellent service and very friendly. They also brought our order to our table and I really appreciate that. Will definitely come again.

Wanted to eat a burger so I found this food truck lot and decided to give it a try. It's at the old Ridgeway Motors lot. Line was about 5 deep but went pretty smooth considering they only serve burgers. They have something that not all places have...common sense! Lady in front of us ordered 5 sets of meals but we got our simple 2 burgers and 2 fries order before her. Food was pretty good. I liked it. My son thought the secret sauce was a little too sweet. Even though I'm not a big portion eater, I thought the burger was on the smaller side. Either a bigger burger or a double patty option might be worth considering. Fries were good. 2pm for lunch was a little late and the sun was blazing so we decided to eat in the car. But there are tables scattered between the trucks. Will definitely go back for burgers. Prices were reasonable.

Hidden in a parking lot right after Pearl Kai going westward, if you miss the orange truck, you'll be going on the freeway or towards the stadium. My friend suggested I pick up lunch while he was finishing work because he told me even if it says they close at 3:30p, they sell out early and always close earlier when they are sold out.I wasn't sure, if that was the place, but luckily I turned into the unpaved area right after pearl kai when I saw the benches under the tented looking wooden structures because it's a little hard to know if that was the truck while driving without their sign facing Kam Highway.He told me the Funguy is the most popular burger so I ordered the deluxe which turns out to be $3 more for tomato, lettuce and onions. I ordered the fries for another $4 $5 to complete the meal, totaling $19 $20 for a burger and fries.Funguy deluxe 4 stars reasonable for $15, but I think next time I'll just order the regular to see if it makes any difference since there are already mushrooms and other fixings. A little on the oily side, but juicy and good. The bun is also grilled and had a little sweetness to it. Made to order, so I waited about 15 minutes for my burgers. My friend said you can't get specialty burgers made to order like these for this price.Krazy fries 4 stars for a dollar extra from the regular fries, the dressing tastes similar to the ingredients of thousand island dressing, but with a little more boldness to it, and upgrades the taste of the fries. However, better to eat it right away because by the time I brought it for my friend and I to enjoy, The fries were soggy from the sauce. The regular thick fries were great. I think next time I'll ask if the sauce can be on the side for me to dip the fries in it instead.Service very friendly and patient since i always take a while to decide what I want.Parking lots of parking in a rocky, unpaved parking lot right next to the truck.
