Acropolis Pizza - Aiken

You have got to be kidding me !!! There is NO WAY anyone with a decent palate and a set of eyes could give this restaurant a good rating. The reason I am saying this is because the owner can't care about how folks feel about his food, because if he didthen he would not give you soggy, and burned and dried potatoes that tasted a week old.....also, the gyro is out of a can orsomething...and the special of the day was even worse. I do not like to leave anything except my honest opinion and here itis: I hope they get their hearts back into their business and turn this sinking boat towards the dock for some majorrepairs. I had so hoped this was going to be a place on my list of regular eating stops, but that's a BIG NO !!

I think it was probably more awesome prior to Covid and food supply issues. Pizza was very watery and runny, not enough cheese, and we asked for double italian sausage and got scant amount and not on each piece. There was also the stench of cigarettesmoke when we walked in, as probably one the owners smoke. They should probably give it up after 39 years and go out with somegood left.

My fiancé and I dined at this restaurant for the first time on Tuesday, and it was absolutely amazing! We loved every moment, and the lady who cooked our food, who I believe is the owner, was incredibly kind! Although we don't live in Aiken, we will definitely return to this restaurant again!

The BEST pizza in Aiken! A big thank you to George Maria for being a part of the Aiken community for nearly 35 years. Acropolis will always be my favorite restaurant!

The food is just as amazing now as it was when the restaurant first opened.
