My brother convinced me to try Cook Out and im glad he did. Me, him, and my daughter went and we each ordered different meals and sides so we could try as many as we could. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and for my sides I got a chicken wrap and a bacon wrap, My daughter got a double cheeseburger with fries and cheddar bites and my brother got the regular bbq with onion rings and hush puppies. We all tired a little of everything and it was all great. The next time I go I will definitely order the spicy chicken sandwich with the fries and cheddar bites, that's the best combination. But the regular BBQ sandwich was amazing too, it was juicy and full of flavor. The only item I wasnt impressed with was the burger, while it was good it tasted like a whopper jr.
I've been here several times over the past year and the people working the drive through have always been very polite and professional almost like going to chicfila. I've been to other cook outs in Augusta and had bad expirences especially the one on Jimmie dyess Parkway.
Cook out is a lower quality fast food place, but it is very cheap. You can get a lot of food for a low price due to how the menu is set up. For example, you can order a plate of chicken fingers with a side, and for that side you can order a quesadilla. However, food isn't on the higher quality side. Its on par with McDonalds. The thing to actually go to Cook Out for is the milkshakes. They have 40+ flavors and endless combinations that are all delicious. The shakes are huge, and like the food a great value. I usually go just for a shake. The location is pretty tight and can get crowded at times. Limited parking in the lot, but there are two drive thru lines, which is nice. Drive thru is frequently crowded at non-peak hours due to the popularity of shakes.
This Cookout location consistently serves good food quickly, and the employees at the window have always been polite. My only complaint is that the '1/4 ' burgers are not 1/4 pound patties. I grill burgers all the time for the 4 members of my family using a pound of beef. I know exactly how big a 1/4 pound patty should be. Also, they are noticeably even smaller than usual sometimes. I 've gotten a few tiny patties from you before. It always tastes good though, and your people are fast and polite, so I will keep coming back.
