Feedback gevenIn response: I understand that food costs have gone up, and it makes sense to adjust the prices accordingly. However, cutting the size of the box in half while increasing the cost is just absurd.
The buffet was fantastic and very affordable! The staff was exceptionally polite, helpful, and friendly, always checking to see if we needed anything. The food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely go again!
Most of the food was excellent! I was surprised by some of the negative reviews I had read. The chicken balls had a perfect balance of batter to chicken, and they weren't overly heavy. The Shanghai noodles were fantastic with great flavors! The dry ribs and chicken wings were spot on—crispy and juicy. The chow mein was also very good! Each dish, including black bean, sweet and sour, teriyaki, and ginger, was delicious. I can understand why some may not appreciate it; the texture of the meat is very soft and delicate, while the outer coating is crispy and well-prepared. The hot and sour soup had a wonderful flavor. I didn't even have room to finish all my favorites because I was so full by the end of the meal. We indulged in the typical dessert offerings of a Chinese buffet—gelatin, fruit, bars, tarts, and ice cream. I was particularly impressed by the soft-serve ice cream; it could rival Dairy Queen! They also offered hard ice cream for those who prefer that. The lemon tarts were really good too! The only drawback was that our table wasn't completely clean; there was a noticeable yellow sticky spot. That’s an easy fix, though. Overall, this restaurant made a fantastic first impression on us, and we will definitely be returning for the top-notch service!
We ordered at skip the dishes. I came to pick up my order and spoke with two friendly ladies who could not find my order and then was passed on to a very rude man. I gave him the phone number, and he'd be joking and he said he didn't command him. I told him the four things I had ordered, and he said he didn't have it. again I gave him the phone number and the names under which the order was standing, and he claimed again that he had not my order. I went and when I was almost home, my wife called to inform me that the restaurant called and said that the job was ready to pick up. my wife told the man on the phone that you were just in the restaurant and was told that there was no command under the number he gave. the man on the phone said, either you take off your food or I throw it in the garbage. We didn't return to get that. fortunately skip the dishes refunded the money. there are several Chinese restaurants in airdrie. order them from them before they order from starlight.
Ordered food for 8 people for $140. Food was basically un-edible. Almond Chicken was so tough and dry it was like week old Turkey. The Sweet and Sour Pineapple Pork was mushy to the point of baby food and there was no pineapple at all in either of our two dishes. We did find limp green peppers and iron hard carrots though. The chicken chow mein was over cooked and mush and the Beef Chop Suey was barely Par. This was strike 2 as we had a similar meal from them a couple months ago. There will not be a strike 3. Time to find a new Chinese Food place to order from.
