Café Le Verdun - Aix-en-Provence

We were disappointed with the food. Won’t recommend.

Great little bistro. Polite and very freindly service. But the food is the best part of this bistro. Everything is homemade, and the finish is just sublime. I'd recommend this place as a must go to bistro, while staying in Aix.

We were looking for a small cafe to stop and refresh ourselves with a cold drink. The drinks were fine and the prices reasonably overpriced, as usual in city centres, but nothing to complain about. The server on the other hand was exceptionally rude and unfriendly. To top it off, he left us waiting 17 minutes after we asked for the bill, even though there were only 3 other tables which didnt need his attention.

The coffee was not great and fairly expensive. The two stars is mostly for the very unpolite and unprofessional service. The waiter basically didn't speak with us and ignored our request for more tap water.

It was a nice break on the terrace of café Le Verdun during our walk through the old city. We enjoyed the espresso and café au lait very much.
