Nice pastries, however waitress was exceptionally unpleasant. Rolled her eyes on two occasions, rushed us to order and gave my friend the wrong pastry. Very disappointing experience overall and we were made to feel unwelcome and a hassle
We had been walking through Aix En Provence and had actually already sat down at a cafe and waited for so long for a waiter to take our order that we finally just got up and left. As we were walking back to our car to leave we passed by this quaint little bakery and decided to check it out because the outside of it looked so old and traditional. I am so glad that we did! We had already found that this city was much more expensive than it really should be and it was a lot more crowded with tourists than we had been hoping for. We really just wanted to grab something to eat and find a nice shady place to sit down and enjoy a nice bite. The girl who was working inside was very friendly and very eager to help us. I was really surprised afterwards to read the reviews of Jacob's that said that the service wasn't very good because we had GREAT service! I had a fantastic heated panini loaded with cheese and my wife had a nice sandwich with tomatoes, cheese and walnuts. We also had one of the best chocolate eclairs that either one of us had ever had. Everything was so fresh and tasted wonderful. We walked down to the courtyard of a nearby church and sat in the shade and enjoyed our repast as we watched the tourists and locals walk by it was truly magical. Check out Jacob's if you want to avoid the hassles and rude service at the many awful cafes in Aix en Provence.
The traditional facade of this Boulangerie drew us in to have a look and then the rows of delightful and tasty looking rolls, quiches, pastries and breads inside made the decision to stop here for breakfast easy. We had two quiches, which the lady behind the counter heated up for us, two croissants and coffees. There was limited seating The quiches were very tasty. The croissants were good but not as good as the ones we had from Paul's. Service was OK without being all that friendly.
Good value quality price but a small flat on the quality of service that is impersonal and mediocretal well for a very fast meal not very clean. you can certainly do better to you to play and win
