Lavarenne Bakery Patissier

The baguettes here are outstanding, especially the Banon. Not the best pastries, but definitely come here for the bread. They get very busy and are a little impatient if you don't know what you want.

We had a couple of quiches first. Good filling and textures, maybe lacking a tiny bit of salt for perfection. Then we shared an opera cake. Simply amazing, fantastic combination of flavors and textures. Definitely worth a visit to try it if you are passing by Aix en Provence.

I went here almost every day for bread and treats. It's a chain and the food is pretty good. You will find other bakeries that specialize in various baked goods that have a following. Basically it is up to you to discover this but this place is great in a pinch and open 24 hours. So when you are stumbling home late you can pick up a snack. Now that's a treat! Pastries are on the expensive side but I didn't compare this to other places.

N'ayant pas encore lu les commentaires de TripAdvisor, c'est sans idée préconçue que je suis entrée dans cette boulangerie. Ce n'est pas tant la médiocrité du pain, chose très courante de nos jours, qui chasse les clients potentiels mais c'est bien le comportement injustifiable de l'équipe qui sert en se payant grossierement et ouvertement la tête du client. Travailler dans la bonne humeur est une chose sympathique et thérapeutique, ridiculiser la clientèle est une faute.

Les prix exercés par cette boulangerie me laissent sans voix tant les quantités proposées sont maigres. Les pains ne sont pas spécialement savoureux et souvent mal cuits, ils ne justifient en aucun cas les tarifs exercés. A éviter...
