Odine - Ajax

I had a spicy tuna roll and the deep fried wonton which I crave. I was raised in Vancouver and have travelled throughout North America. The worst deep fried wonton is in Springfield, Missouri but that is for another time. This is the best fried wonton ever. I don’t know where they get their wraps but the wrap and the filling are perfect. I have eaten in hundreds of Asian restaurants. This is the best deep fried wonton in North America.

Before our visit, I had reviewed the menu and found the selection to be very good. We were celebrating a milestone birthday with a group of 8 people. Orders were taken promptly and served in a timely manner, except for one person who received their order in a plastic bag after everyone else had finished. The servers came back 2 or 3 times to ask about his order, but neglected to check on anyone else or offer more food or drinks. The bento box he ordered was nothing special and was listed on the menu. I ordered the chirashi sushi, which was supposed to come with 12 pieces of sashimi on rice, but I only received around 8 pieces. The portion of rice was too large compared to the amount of sashimi. Overall, it was a disappointing evening for what should have been a memorable occasion.

We decided to order from this restaurant online for delivery. Unfortunately, the steaks we received were not of AAA grade quality. Both the grilled steak and steak teriyaki were made from cheap cuts of meat. The Korean style grilled short ribs were lacking in meat, thinly sliced, and mostly consisted of bones. The sashimi was not very fresh, and overall, the dishes were bland. We felt that for the amount we paid, we would have been better off ordering from McDonald's. It was a disappointing choice for Mother's Day dinner. We have decided not to order from this restaurant again.

My wife and I have been loyal customers of Odine for several years and have always enjoyed the quality of the food. We appreciate the variety of both Thai and Japanese dishes available for the same meal. We particularly enjoy the Thai combo with Chicken Cashew, which includes soup, mango salad, and sushi. Some of our favorite Thai dishes are the street style pad Thai, seafood with XO sauce, and green curry. Overall, we highly recommend Odine for a delicious and satisfying dining experience.

Sushi sashimi are EXCELLENT! We had taken out but the restaurant lo ones very nice. Staff extremely pleasant! Excellent value and quality!
