Handel's Homemade Ice Cream - Akron

The kids working this Handles are rude, ignorant and entitled with a splash of stupidity. I asked for the sugar free ice cream listed which said moose tracks and I was told well that 's not the special. Well, what is it? Butter pecan, is that all? What?! My last time here.

Real frozen custard. Change two guest flavors each week. Cuts down on monotonous flavors of fast food soft serve. Mmm good. Not much else needs said.

I wanted some ice cream and decided to stop at Handle's. Their drive-thru was closed so I walked up to the window. There were not many people in line and they took my order fairly quickly. After I paid, I waited for my ice cream at another window. This helped moved the line. Again, it took no time to get my ice cream. I ordered a 2 scoop dish of cookie dough and black cherry. The dish was huge!! It's 2 1/2 scoops of deliciously good ice cream. Every bite had plenty of black cherries, cookie dough and chocolate chips in it. Handle's is right around the corner from me and is my favorite go-to spot for ice cream!!

I 've enjoyed Handel 's ice cream since I was a kid, and I still do. So I 'm disappointed to submit this review from a recent visit. I stopped on a recent Sunday evening (7/7/20202) to pick up a pint. There were about 30 40 customers there, waiting in line, mostly in groups. I was the ONLY person in line wearing a mask. This is unacceptable. This is not about your employees. I was happy to see all of the staff working safely inside the store, wearing masks and doing their best to maintain social distancing with each other while working. However, the large amount of customers not wearing masks or, in many cases, practicing social distancing, is unacceptable. They are putting other customers AND your staff at risk. It isn 't your staff 's job to enforce best practices wrt to the pandemic this is up to management. It would be unreasonable to expect your staff, most of whom are teenagers working summer jobs (and all of whom work inside the shop), to police the customer lines. This is management 's responsibility. You are responsible for assuring a safe shopping environment for your customers. Please do so.

I went to handles tonight and got a brownie sundae. Don’t even live 10 mins from there and it was completely melted no whipped cream and no brownie! Super upset about it. And I’m 8 months pregnant and crying.
