True Soul Food - Akron

The food is delicious, good portions and priced right; unfortunately hours of operation inconsistent. Hours posted on the door and pre recorded message of hours of operation, inconsistent. Unable to place to go order no one answers the phone. Have driven there on several occasions only to find doors locked with open sign posted?. The lack for professionalism, valued customer service, being out of touch with the customer base, unfortunate.

Came all the way from Kent .. they said open on the site and the door .. but wasn’t nobody in there smh I see this is always a problem from the reviews, I should’ve listened lol

My chicken was hard and dry asked for potato salad they gave me coleslaw yuk

Man this food was so good they deff know what they doing …first time eating here and I will be back I had a taste for some baked Mac and cheese n potato salad they were out of potato salad but the cabbage was worth the wait the fried Talipa was so good I ate it without hot sauce (cause the food didn’t even make it home) the tbone was well flavored everything was just great I’ll be back to try the greens and potato salad for sure they only thing I didn’t like was the cornbread felt it was too dry but to eachs own I didn’t come there for that anyways

Visited 21MAY2022- Although there is a sign on the door that states, OPEN The restaurant looked like it 's been shut down for quite some time. I visited during the business hours listed on Google.
