My Pizza Place On Main - Alachua

Great food and prices. They were experiencing short staffing due to an unexpected death, but overall good service. I love the store connected to the restaurant, but I understand it will be closing.

The treats and stuff is cute however the owner is rude. She seems stuck up and snarky, wouldn't go back because of her attitude.

This is a fantastic spot for custard and authentic Italian ice. The woman serving there is incredibly friendly and courteous, providing great recommendations for flavor combinations. Everything she suggested was delicious. A nice added bonus is that she sells Simply Southern shirts, which happen to be my wife’s favorite brand. We will definitely return whenever we’re exploring Main Street. By the way, the Italian restaurant next door has amazing calzones as well!

My Happy Place is more than just a great ice cream shop with many of their offerings made from scratch; it's also an excellent coffee shop that feels cozy and unique, unlike the big chains like Starbucks. Additionally, it's a craft store filled with lots of unique items. The custard is fantastic—my favorite indulgence of the week so far—and if you're a coffee lover, you must try their coffee at least once. My wife and I often pick up custard to go after dining at our favorite restaurant nearby, which is attached to it, called My Pizza Place on Main.

For the sake of the lady owner I hate writing this review but I have to edit my original 5 star review. Dont get me wrong, it's still a great treat at a great price and the lady owner there has great customer service. Truly a Happy Place! BUT, go during the evening hours. When you show up during the day when it says they're open, often times they aren't. This has happened numerous times now and it's frustrating. And when it does happen you're stuck dealing with the rude grumpy part owner at the adjoining pizzaria. Not sure why he feels the need to be so rude. Maybe it's unintentional but if it were the first occurrence I wouldn't bother with this review. Anytime we have friends and family visiting we invite them here for treats. To be treated rudly multiple times now by the male owner is a smack in the face. Our family overheard him on one occasion and they couldnt believe we still eat there. Please pick times you can commit to so we arent wasting our time or having to deal with the other owner.
