La Penca Azul - Alameda

Food, drinks, and service good. Wish they would improve the coed and women's bathroom. I asked if they served a little dollop if sour cream or guac on my burrito and said they would have to charge extra! I know they are trying to make a buck, but cmon. My breakfast burrito never had so much rice n beans before. Supposedly ownership/management change. If so, I can tell with the last 3 times I've visited. Will be going less for sure.

Exceptional house chips and salsa. Smoky and spicy. We finished two bowls. The flautas were also good. Will return.

Stopped in here for dinner on whim- cuz hungry. Nice staff, fast service, and very generous portions. House margarita was just meh (but only $12.00) prices were very reasonable. They didn’t skimp on the chips and salsa. We dined I. But there’s lots of outdoor dining space available. Bathroom was a bit grunge. All in all, I’d definitely eat here again.

Exceptional. Dinning excellent drinks. A little to pricey. Two margaritas $25.00. . . The bar I go to in Florida you can get 6 margaritas for $30.00.

This is one of my favorite places to dine when I am visiting the Bay Area. It brings back very fond memories and the food is still very good.
