I can't fault this friendly, classy place. We were all swooning over the food. Lobster bisque for starters. A choice of fish plus a choice of sauces for mains along with potato dauphinoise which was superb. The desserts were fantastic. We were on Guernsey for a week's holiday and went to Le Nautique twice. I would return only for this restaurant which ranks as easily one of the best I've ever been to.
Great restaurant overlooking the harbour but you need to book well in advance if you want a table with a view. The restaurant was nearly full on the night we went Wednesday. Food excellent and good service.
The perfect night, celebrating 21 years of marriage. The food was absolutely sublime; thai fishcakes crab thermidor starters were both utterly delicious. Mains of seabass and chorizo and the seafood grill lobster, prawns scallops were both amazing. It was such a pleasant surprise to have the roe left on my scallops, its so often removed I think its the best bit ! . All washed down with a perfectly chilled bottle of Sancerre. The service was just right, attentive but not 'in your face '. I 'd say it 's a must visit when in Guernsey...its not cheap, but worth every penny.
I found it all pretty average tbh It’s not really a family restaurant, no kids menu or attempt to ask if my 10 y old would like smaller portions, simpler food. Not a complaint, just a note. Scallops and pancetta. Read scallops and streaky bacon. Oysters small and mignonette just watery vinegar in a pot. Chateaubriand, to me should served on a board to share, not piled on the serving plates with onion rings. Bernaise sauce us a bland foam, no seasoning on the crust of the meat. Risotto bland. Guess you stick to fish, in a fish restaurant. Dessert platter very good. Service good..
