San Joe’s Cantina Grill - Albany

The waitstaff was very nice. The food was good. However, the manager is something else completely. They way they spoke to their staff in condescending tones within ear shot of customers is inappropriate. That explains why they are hiring.

This place is an absolute hidden gem in Albany. The clean and friendly environment was warm, and welcoming. I could tell from the smells in the air that this was a genuine kitchen and not a basic experience. Plan to come again, sad I lived so close and missed out on such a classy joint.

Food was fairly decent. My friend had a whole fish which was an experience. We had to go early because of our movie time.

Normally like this place. Was not impressed last time. Didn't see my server for 30min after ordering. The place was empty which was nice, but the constant excuse of the kitchen being backed up and takes an hr to get food out, was not ok. Normally has good food and service, that was an off night for sure.

They should complete the order in Grubhub so patron knows it's ready. I was waiting because it said it was in process but it was actual done.
