Spicy Mint Albany

I dined at a special buffet on Valentine's Day, where my wife and I had the opportunity to sample around 15 different dishes. We enjoy trying new things, and we were pleased with everything we tasted. The restaurant had a lot of Indian patrons, which made me believe that the food was authentically comforting. The staff was quick to replenish the buffet and refill our drinks. I would definitely like to return!

I've visited many Indian and Italian restaurants, and each one has its own unique menu and preparation style. This place stands out as quite different; there are items here that I've never encountered before, and the way they prepare dishes is also unique. This isn't to say that the food isn’t good—it was excellently done, and everything was fresh. I tried several dishes, and all of them were very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, but be prepared for some items to be prepared in a different way than you might expect. One aspect that did disappoint me was the condition of the back of the house; the bathroom needs a good cleaning, and a quick peek into the kitchen revealed some cleanliness issues as well. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many places.

I absolutely love Spicy Mint! This wasn't my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last. When my wife suggested it for our anniversary celebration, there was no other option. Since our visit, we've been recommending it to family and friends. It's a fantastic place!

Not familiar with Indian restaurants in the albany area and was thrilled by my lamb vindaloo. I tried another place a few miles away and that was far superior. definitiw will be back on my next trip in a few weeks!

New management since January 2022 makes it right. The fish curry was delicious: well seasoned, fragrant served with Jeera Rice. The chief/owner Mijan has skills to inspire the palate. I look forward to many return journeys. The aroma prevented me from taking photos until I finished. Mohan is a wonderful waiter, friendly and very helpful in choosing dishes.
