I eat there whenever I get a chance to visit Alberton, about 4 or 5 times so far, and have always been completely satisfied. It has never been busy while I have been there so I think people are missing something special. I haven't yet had an opportunity to stay at the adjoining B&B, La Petite France, but I expect it is wonderful, too. In the off-season, the cafe is open Wed.-Sat., noon-8 p.m.
Following our night at the B&B next door, we decided to have lunch at this little cafe. The food was simply amazing. Well worth the detour, but check the opening hours. Will definately go back.
We ate at Chez Cartier for dinner Saturday and crepes for lunch Sunday. Everything was delicious and home made. Try their homemade herbal ice tea. The Hawaiian Toast was amazing. We always love their Croque Monsieur.
Super delicious bakers. especially the fresh baguette is recommended. also a small lunch in the bakery is recommended!
We drove down to Alberton especially to try Chez Cartier and we completely delighted. The menu is small but offers enough choice. The food was perfect. The price very reasonable. We were the only couple dining and had a wonderful chat with the proprietor. Definitely will make the effort to return again.
