Hermoso y tranquilo restaurante familiar con ambiente marino y cocina valenciana según el medio ambiente, precios razonables.
We chose this restaurant, on a Saturday lunchtime, after much deliberation between those along the seafront, as it had a reasonable price for menu of the day, 18 euros, and had customers. We selected our starters only to be told by the non-English speaking waiter, who kept pointing to the two paella choices, that we got all four! Bread, cheese, ham, salad, spicy potatoes and fried baby squid. Generous portions and tasty. We chose the peeled seafood paella. It came in a large round cooking dish and was well cooked at the edges. There were different types of seafood including fresh prawns. For our tastes it was a little salty, but good. We had a cheesecake for one dessert and a coffee solo instead of another. There were many locals including one group of 28 and another of 12. We did not hear anybody else speaking anything other than Spanish. We had a bottle of rosado. For reasons unknown the waiter had difficulty understanding our wish. However we eventually got a lovely dry fruity rose for 8 euros. An excellent value meal in a pleasant location overlooking the sea.
We had the menu for 18 € which apart from the paella was awful. But the main point I would like to make is that the treatment by the owners is abysmal, when we arrived we asked for something to be done about a draft that my mum and wife could feel on the back of their necks, to which the waitress said I will tell the owner, at no moment did they do anything at all....they didn't ask if we wanted to move, they didn't switch on any one of the big air con machines and basically their attitude was that they couldn't care less. The only two other groups that were eating there had their puffa jackets on which is ridiculous when there is two big heaters on the ceiling. They are not one bit child friendly and don't have high chairs for kids. To sum things up I would NOT return even if they paid me!!!
Walk up and down the playa looking for a restaurante for lunch. Either too tuoristy or empty or full or loud music. Ended up here. A few spanish, no loud music and menu that looked OK. Service was terrible. Spanish got good service and we, either because we looked British or because we did not have the full menu got terrible service. i even had to get my bill. sppiled what was pretty ordinary food.
