Mariscos La Playa - Albuquerque

After enjoying a hearty meal with excellent service from the staff, I can confidently rate this place five stars. Our waiter may not have had much of a sense of humor, but he made sure my iced tea was always full. As for the food, I can only say that it's so generous in portions that you’d better come prepared to share or be ready to tackle a large platter on your own. You might come in feeling a bit wobbly, but you'll leave with a smile!

This restaurant is fantastic! They offer a wide selection of seafood dishes. The chips served with pico de gallo, beans, and guacamole salsa were outstanding. The portions are quite generous, and I found the prices to be reasonable. I deducted one star due to the rice, but everything else was delicious.

The food was delicious, but the service was very disappointing. We were given chips with three dips, but the hot dip made my throat burn. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive our drinks until about 30 minutes later. I tried to get the staff’s attention multiple times, but they seemed oblivious and just walked by. The blonde waitress didn’t speak English. My drink was acceptable, but my friend only got water when he had asked for soda water.

I have been a fan for some time. Always a good service and seafood experience. Of the Mexican Baja style dishes from across the locations in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe, my favorite is the seafood soup 'Vuelvo la vida ' but I also enjoy the Shark,Snapper and I think I remember catching an outstanding Flounder dish in Santa Fe a few times. The free trio of salsa with chipsbefore the meal is a tasty welcome.

Used to be good. Not so much anymore. Knew I was in for a rough meal when my pico came out and was 80% water. Got the octopus and it was mostly mushy and smelled off. Only had a few bites before giving up on it. Still with what little I ate it made meincredibly sick. Such a shame cause this place used to have amazing food.
