Restaurant was half empty when we arrived and after sitting around for what seemed an age, I had to wave down a waitress to have our order taken. Was advised that an omelette would take over 30 mins, so we changd our orders to suit. Over an hour later our food arrived....despite asking the owner and a staff member to check on our food after 30 mins and 45 mins respectively and told they would find out, only to have them not come back to our table. Really poor attitude toward customers and there were several of them that walked out before their meals arrived. Food was ok but def not worth a wait of over an hour. There are lots of great little cafes in Dean Street, this one isn't one of them. I won't be back.
The breakfast menu is fantastic, with fresh, delicious items. The drinks are great and the service is honest and attentive. The prices are reasonable as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We were warmly greeted at the restaurant at 9:30. There were only two other groups in the large restaurant. Not many options on the menu for those who don't eat eggs, but the staff were accommodating. Breakfast was enjoyable, with good quality bacon and perfectly poached eggs. There was a slight issue with unbuttered toast, but it was quickly fixed. The coffee was not the best, but still drinkable. The fresh orange juice was very tasty. At the cashier, we were informed of our bill verbally, without receiving an itemized bill or receipt. The tables seemed worn out, and the heavy chairs were difficult to move. However, the tables by the windows offered a great view for people watching.
Took my wife to Granatas on Dean for breakfast on Sunday morning, wife ordered poached eggs and sausages,I ordered eggs benedict, waited about ten minutes until our meals arrived.A plate was put before us with 2 poached eggs,2eggs benedict and 2 sausages all together on the same plate, but underneath that plate was another one.We both looked at each other and said we ordered 2 separate meals.do you want me to fix them said the waitress, durrr,On paying the bill my wife said she found it incredible that her meal did not come with toast,to which the waitress replied, did you ask for toast, now if you read the online menu it states that toast comes with all the meals.Get someone who can understand an order,or get out of the hospitality industry !!!!!!!!
Unfortunately though the food was good the service really needs to improve I was there for a family function on a busy day We had booked ahead so they should have know what would be required to service that amount of people we had people waiting for about 1 and 1/2 hours for food People who had ordered first were served last while those ordering last all received meals first When questioned the excuse of "its a busy day" was used - this is not good enough Yes its a busy day it was a special day and you expected more people to attend and you had forward bookings for a large group therefore you cater for this
