We visited this restaurant for afternoon tea and sat in a beach cabin outdoors. Despite mentioning in an email when booking that we were vegan, it seemed like our dietary preference was overlooked. We were informed that there were limited vegan options available as they needed more preparation time in advance. We ended up having Cheeze and Chutney sandwiches with Biscoff cakes, which were tasty but it would have been great to have more vegan choices.
I live very close to Orange Mabel, so I often go for a piece of cake. They have different aromas depending on the day, but they are always beautiful! I also had a pot of herbal tea that was delicious, I don't think they have vegetable milk.
The brownie we had was very delicious. But they seem to reduce the available vegan options. The staff was very friendly, but the 2 people in the café that served us seemed somewhat confused about the options that were vegan.
I went to this restaurant for breakfast with my meat-eating brother and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegetarian options available. They had a full vegetarian breakfast, poached and scrambled eggs on toast, and even a quorn sausage sandwich. The food was excellent and I was delighted to find that there were two vegan cake options when I went to pay. I'm so glad I discovered this little gem in my hometown, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit!
