Rusticana 2 - Alcobaca

We were sitting here on the terrace in the low season (very quiet), with a stunning view. The squid and octopus was recommended by the waiter and we were lucky we listened to him!!! So nice and tender, with nice grill flavors. Simply amazing. The wine (muscatel) was a bit too aromatic for me. But the food, view and the nice waiter and service made this an excellent visit!

Best experienced food in town staff very helpfull in choosing what to eat make reservation might be handy if dinner planned after 8 pm.

We were looking for a light lunch and had just looked at a restaurant a little further up the road, where some members of our group had decided to eat It did not have the clams which we wanted to try. Cais 24 is a small family owned restaurant, we were made very welcome and felt immediately at home. We were warned that we would have to wait for our meal to be cooked and some things on the menu may be out of season and not available. The clams were just right and the garlic prawns a delicious less pungent version of those we often order in Spain. My wife had a beer and I tried the house white, which was very acceptable for the price

We enjoyed our visits to Cais 24. The owner was very friendly and helpful, but was a bit harassed when it was really busy. Food was good and worth the wait!
