So we ended up walking almost from the hotel in the direction of the closest one Dom Manuel I. It did not disappoint! Nice serviçe, good food. I recomend it there is no frozen fish there.
For sun lovers they put one or two tables out on the calcadas with a view across the river to Lisbon, however I prefer less wind or sun and to enjoy the traditional atmosphere inside with lovely azulejos etc.Great for fish and the owners wife has proved reliable in her advice as to what is very good that day.The White House wine is very pleasant and here is some tips...1.don't go on a Saturday,Sunday or public holiday as Alcochete is flooded with Lisboetas day tripping and service can be erratic.2.if you like Caldeirada as we do,call in and order giving them 90mins until you return as a very pleasant walk can be taken along the riverfront,....they do a very nice grilled costeleta de vitelha....so it's not all fish
This a typical Portuguese mid-range restaurant that offers simplicity, great food and friendliness. Husband and wife team that work superbly well and, from what I gather, there is also a son involved. We are repeaters and intend to go back.
Restaurante 5*, bom empregado , recomendo
