I fully understand that we would lose our payment as a result, but I still requested a credit since we planned to return on the 16th and 17th for a night or two. A couple of days later, the representative I worked with called to check in and see if everything was okay, which I appreciated. She informed me that the manager would call me the next day (Tuesday) to let me know whether we could receive a credit. Unfortunately, it seems the manager chose to ignore our request, opting not to reach out to me at all. As a result, I’ll be looking for another hotel, as customer service is crucial to me when spending a significant amount of money. I want to extend my gratitude to the two wonderful representatives who assisted us on September 3; you both were truly amazing. Brent Perry
My family stayed at this hotel in 2022 and had such a fantastic experience that we decided to return a year later. We enjoyed another wonderful stay on the weekend of May 6, 2023. The rooms were impeccably clean, just like the rest of the property. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to fulfill our request for an early check-in so we could change for a wedding. We were extremely pleased! Additionally, the breakfast included with our stay was delightful—there were so many options, all of which were simply delicious. If you're looking for a place to stay in Langley, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Langley. Thank you so much to everyone!
I had a wonderful experience with excellent service and accommodations. They even allowed me to check in early, which was a nice bonus. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was decent, and the staff were very attentive. My only issue was that they charged me for bottled water, which I understood was supposed to be complimentary for platinum members. Overall, a great stay!
We experienced significant issues with our reservation upon check-in. Our intention was to stay for four nights during a basketball tournament, but we had to argue with a particularly rude staff member who had incorrectly altered our booking in order to secure our intended stay. Additionally, they attempted to raise our rate by over $50 per night, which felt like an attempt to take advantage of the situation. After our second night, my husband encountered a housekeeper who mistakenly assumed we were checking out that day. Confused, he explained that we were still there for two more nights. Shortly afterward, the front desk called him to confirm that their system indicated we were checking out. My husband corrected them, and the staff member was dismissive. When I answered the call later, the woman was extremely rude. I repeatedly asked her who had changed our reservation, as it was not us, but she refused to provide that information and maintained an unpleasant attitude. She informed us that to continue our stay, we would need to pay over $50 more per night. Her demeanor suggested she was insinuating that we might not be able to afford the extra charges for our booked nights, which was quite strange. I insisted she identify who altered our reservation since we had clear email confirmations for the full four nights. After an extended argument, she finally agreed to correct our booking at the original rate, although I suspect she might have been the one who made the error in the first place, as she checked us in. It felt like we were being bullied into accepting a higher rate due to their mistake. To add to the frustration, the front desk incessantly called our room and hung up three times within an hour, waking my daughter who was trying to catch some extra sleep. No one apologized for the mix-up with our reservation or for the disruptions. **Questionable Cleanliness:** As if that wasn't enough, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The towels were in poor condition – one had something stuck to it, while another was stained with lipstick and makeup. Even the towel I thought was clean shed several long black hairs while I was drying off. On the days when housekeeping finally attended to our room, the fresh towels often came with thick black hairs attached. The sheets and bedding also didn’t smell fresh at all; they carried an unpleasant odor reminiscent of sweat and body odor.
The check-in process was seamless, and the room was quite clean with comfortable beds. However, the bathroom is extremely small and cramped, particularly if you're traveling with children. The pool is incredibly unpleasant; it’s very cloudy and has a fishy odor, which even the swimming lesson instructors remarked on. I would definitely not feel comfortable letting my kids swim in there. They were really disappointed but understood why, especially seeing how unsanitary it looked.
