Le Cheval Bai - Alençon

A friend and I were back to the ferry and stopped here for lunch. We received a charming greeting from the lady I suspected was the owner who spoke excellent English. We chose the dish du Jour, which with a good selection of the cold buffet, followed by a choice of lamb or pig, then cheese and desert. We ordered the lamb that served as a cashierole with beans and carrots, the lamb was tender and plentiful. This is a good place to break the trip, only back from the D438 with a lot of parking.

I tried this place out for the 1st time today for breakfastThe food was very good and the pancakes are gigantic and sooooo tasty.

Goede keuken. Eerlijke prijs voor eenvoudige maar lekkere gerechten. Vriendelijke bediening. Deed me denken aan een routier doch met iets meer luxe. Eigen gebakken dessert is lekker (streekproduct). Ook het apero 'Pommeau' is een meevaller.

We ordered the lamb which was served as a casserole with beans and carrots, the lamb was tender and plentiful. This is a good place to break one’s journey, just set back from the D438 with plenty of parking.
