I love working close to this Café. The food is always good and the ladies that work here are very kind and friendly.

Great cold sandwich and coffee shop with plenty of varied options. I would disregard the somewhat ignorant and irrelevant negative review. This is not a full fledged restaurant and should not be assessed as one. You don't go to Starbucks for coffee and expect to be pampered do you? If your delicate tastes require something more refined, there are several options designed for that which are literally a stone's throw away. For what this place offers, which is primarily convenience, they do it extremely well. It is very clean, reasonably priced, and the quality is consistent. The staff are always friendly.

I stopped by this deli recently and ordered a tuna melt sandwich on a rather hot day. Located inside a corporate building on Henry Street, you need to actually access the lobby of the building it's located inside to get to the deli itself (there's no street access from the deli). Service was very friendly, the place was very neat/clean, and my food was ready fairly quickly. I liked their selection of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as sides and snacks (i.e. chips). I really enjoyed my tuna melt sandwich on rye bread. It was very reasonably priced (about $8) and filling. Definitely a no frills type of place. They also appear to have a buffet bar, but it's now defunct during the current global pandemic. Old Town Alexandria has a large number of deli options, but Espresso Cafe is certainly a gem among them.

I discovered this little gem last week. For years my coworkers and I have lamented the fact that there is no true deli on King Street. It turns out, there is! This place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food is great. Good quality ingredients, lots of healthy options, and you can 't beat the price. They also have a full salad bar. Highly recommend.
