Firehouse Subs 1735 - Alexandria

I visited this restaurant yesterday with my family and I was extremely disappointed. When it first opened, it was really nice. The young lady at the register was friendly and pleasant, but that’s where the positives ended. There were six employees working, and only one other customer besides us, yet every single table was dirty. The area around the soda machine was unkempt, and the floors were in bad shape. We had to clean a table ourselves just to find a place to sit. I noticed some employees without hats, which I believe is a requirement. I'm a food manager with 20 years of experience, and I couldn't tell who the manager was since they all appeared to be quite young, probably between 18 and 20. While preparing food, I even saw one of the employees eating directly from the food line! I didn’t want to waste my time complaining; it’s clear that this place didn’t get this way overnight. I won’t be returning.
