King Street Blues Old Town - Alexandria

We went to Old Hat after a friend's birthday dinner. We had our left over food from dinner in to go boxes and a box of cupcakes. We each ordered one drink and several of us got a second before we ate some of the cupcakes. A waitress came up to us 15 minutes after we had eaten the cupcakes and told us that the manager sent her, and they were going to charge us for bringing outside food. We left. If we had stayed we would have all bought another round. I checked their site and there's nothing on there. I get not wanting us to bring a full meal in, but we were just eating her birthday cupcakes and ordered several drinks.Before then, while we were standing at the bar on the second floor waiting for our drinks the same waitress came up to us and basically shooed us away from the bar. Yeah it's a really tight space but we are waiting to sign our checks and get our drinks, there's nowhere to go.The place has cool vibes but is super loud, so not a good place to talk to friends.Will not go back.

Very eclectic bar that was fun to visit, really enjoyed the Ki Mezcal drink I had. Didn't try the food so can't really comment on that, but it looked tasty.

Great happy hour from 5-7pm! Amazing service and cocktails, just what old town needs! I will be back!

This place is awesome. Great vibe, great food with incredible cocktails and service. I can't say enough about the staff. They are super friendly and personable. Jack the bartender is the coolest dude. Highly recommend. I had a pour of the very rare William LaRue Weller bourbon, it was fantastic. The Spaghett cocktail is by far my favorite.

Very fun and eclectic multi-level bar very close to the main drag in Alexandria. Just walk right in and if you can't find a table go upstairs and repeat as necessary. Someone will help you when you find a table or order at the bar. Fun eats include the kimchi hot dog. But all the drinks and food we had there were good. Hope to be back soon.
