I searched for two days lol and Landini Brothers kept winning my heart vs other places! Well my husband is a picky eater and it's hard to satisfy him on new spots but when he said last night the drinks and his meal were very good and tells me babe we found our Italian spot! I knew I made the right choice! The overall experience was wonderful. The
Great location with nice ambiance. Randomly walked in for dinner without reservations on the first nice spring day on a Friday (BUSY BUSY TIME) and still got seated in 5 mins. Didn't try any appetizers, drinks or dessert because we weren't too hungry so we stuck with entrees. The short ribs (very tender) with mushroom risotto was very good. Got the lobster linguine pasta. The pasta and sauce was really good but the lobster was over cooked and very tough which didn't make it
The atmosphere was fantastic. All the servers were kind and professional despite the Valentine?s Day rush, they all did excellent. We asked our server for wine recommendations and both of us were grateful we did because he chose the perfect wine for us and our meal. I got the beef Wellington and it was to die for, one bite and everything melted in my mouth. Definitely a must visit!
Wow. I?m so glad I found Landini restaurant on google. This was one of the best Italian meals I?ve ever had. Hand carved Prosciutto and Mellon, veal scallopini was so tender with the lemon butter , and the homemade tiramisu left me so full I had to go walk the streets of Alexandria for an hour. The restaurant is in a historic 1700?s building with upstairs area for parties and dining along with a huge wine and cigar cellar.
Excellent Italian food right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Landini Brothers never disappoints... the food is delicious. Comparable to Il Porto, which is just a few doors down... but I think Landini has the edge. Look no farther for great Italian food in Alexandria!
