Taco Rock - Alexandria

I had high expectations, but the reality fell short. The fillings in the tacos were good, but overall I wouldn't return to this restaurant. The tacos were overpriced compared to BarTaco or Taco Bamba. The blue corn could have been excellent, but it wasn't warm or toasted. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be or not. The restaurant experience was just okay, nothing special for a counter service restaurant.

This restaurant is amazing! I tried the Birria taco, Mexican fried rice, and classic margarita, and they were all absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and perfectly satisfied all of my tastebuds. I highly recommend giving it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The birria crunch wrap was amazing - tender, cheesy, and flavorful. The birria ramen was also good, but the noodles were just average. I'm excited to try other items on the menu, although it will be hard to resist ordering the crunch wrap again on my next visit.

Gracias to History.com for the explanation. I now feel a little better about gorgingmyself at Taco Rock, a cool Tex-Mex taco bar with locations in Alexandria, Va. (where my wife and I visited), Arlington, andFalls Church. Rockin' Mexican music added to the joy of munching our pork, chicken, brisket, and grouper tacos, all served onhomemade blue corn tortilla. Great tacos! Not a single bad choice on the menu here. Birria tacos had a great consommé for dipping and the traditional tacos like barbacoa and carne asada were good. The corn was very tasty as well. The margaritas were on point too. Will definitely beback.
