They had toilet bowl fresheners hanging in the bathroom and in the room, but they are now working. There were stains of mold on the ceiling, and we were on the 5th floor of 5 floors. They have a lot of work to do.And yes, I did report this to the front desk before posting my review online.
When I travel to or through CenLA, the Hotel Bentley is usually my preferred place to stay. The hotel is full of history and generally well preserved with many modern amenities. For the most part, I have not had any major or notable disappointments. The only cautions I have are that A) given its downtown location, parking can be tricky depending on when you arrive (but I have rarely had a problem save when the hotel is hosting special events) and B) the in-room WiFi usually has mediocre upload and download speeds. Otherwise, the hotel is worth a stay and is quite reasonable compared to other locations in the Alexandria and Pineville area.
Awful experience I have ever had in life!!! From the time we arrived, the building was dingy and stinky. It smelled as if mildew had setup camp. Carpet only appeared to be 50+yrs old without ever being shampooed. We asked for a refund and vowed never to return.Rooms: 1/5
The Bentley Hotel is like stepping back in time. Unique experience. Beware of reservations.com which appears to be the Bentley web site but is 3rd party site which charges 50.00 for booking..a hidden fee that is added after cc info is submitted and processed.
Rooms: Just perfect! Food and drinks: The Caprese Bread and the Spinach dip were outstanding! They also have a wide variety of drinks to choose from.
