La Grotte Des Saveurs - Algiers

This was on my most anticipated bucket list places to visit solely for the interior which emulates the inside of a cave. The restaurant is quite spacious and the lighting is a bit dim accentuating the experience. One of the first things i noticed was how quiet it was which was quickly explained by the fact that i was the only client there. For a long time. Which was strange but i persevered. The service was good and quite fast considering the cooking time. Now onto the food. Surprisingly it was good. I was fearing some health hazards from reading certain reviews and i personally had bad experiences from some similarly styled dishes, But it honestly was good, the meat tender and flavourful, and the rice well spiced. My only complaints would be about the absurd amount of green beans, which were below the meat and it seemed like they were trying to accentuate the volume of the meat with them. Which brings me to the second complaint, the size of the meat. With that price i expected more meat and was slightly disappointed in that regard. Taking all this into consideration i still consider this a good experience mostly for the decor but also for the good meal that made me so full i couldn't order dessert.

I ate once in this par excellence family establishment. Well maintained, clean and well located. We feel like we're in a cave and we're rocked by a beautiful music of an elegant vocal singer with his synthesizer.

It was not famous, it is very pretty in decoration, a lot of waiting, the service is at the null limit, the food is just very simple, whether in taste or dressage, and it is very expensive 7900Da for two people. Flat and dessert entrance with no much dessert choice, just a chocolate mousse or a fruit, and since it is a special fish restaurant your fish soup is zero.. In addition there was a group of men who were after us and who were served in a few seconds, while we also had been booked before but it went under the normal nose, in short it sucks, avoiding this restaurant.
