The lady that works here is so rude. If you ask for vinegar for your dumplings, she ends up talking smack underneath her breathe.
They 're borrowed the name of a famous beef noodle restaurant in Taiwan but you can tell they 're fake. Not only that, the service was bad, it took them 45 minutes to make 3 bowls of beef noodles, and it 's not even good, the waitress was showing attitudes to customers, and even the boss who 's in charge of the cash counter was very rude when she 's talking to customers, the price is not cheaper compare to other place that sells beef noodleMy dad came visit me from Taiwan for the first time and he wasn 't familiar with the tipping culture, all he did was asking politely if they need tips, and before I get to say anything to explain, the boss shout at him 廢話 ,which means duh in a very rude way.If you like to waste your money for bad services and below standard Asian food, this is the spot to go.
Best xiao Long bao I have tested in LA! Service was good (I was afraid because of some comments I read on Google but the woman was lovely to us I went back twice since that comment (and added a picture!
Noodle King Kitchen offers some delicious Taiwanese food. This shop is located in a plaza with other shops and a grocery market. This is one of those places where if you could visit it again 10 years later and nothing has changed. If its not broken, why fix it? We ordered the 5 Spice Fried Pork, Stinky Tofu, Spicy Oil Wonton, Tendon and Beef Stew Noodle, Dan Dan noodle. Let's start with the appetizers. All were good. The 5 Spice Fried Pork came with a sweet dipping sauce, pairing them up gave it a sweet blend putting the flavor on point. The Spicy Oil Wonton was good, but its on the sweet side. I'm not a huge fan when there's a but of peanut buttery taste to it, but it wasn't bad. Now, the Fried Stinky tofu was good. I mean, better than majority of the shops in the states trying to sell Fried Stinky tofu. Usually you'd smell when a shop sold stinky tofu, nope, not this one. But that doesn't mean the tofu didn't taste like fried stinky tofu. The outside was crispy and inside was moist. The fermented cabbage that it came with was delicious. Paired with the soy sauce and spicy sauce (on the side), really did wonders. The Dan Dan noodle was good, a bit on the sweet side. But the Beef Stew noodle was great! Lots of beef and tendon. The broth had lots of flavor making it worthy of finishing the entire bowl even if you're stuffed. All in all, I really liked this place. I'd come back here for the Fried Stinky tofu and Tendon Beef stew noodles alone. Really worth checking out.
