The Original Pancake House

We absolutely loved this restaurant in Aliso Viejo. The food is delicious, served promptly, and the staff is friendly. Thank you for your hospitality and hard work!

I really enjoy this restaurant as the food is delicious and the portions are very generous. The servers are quick and friendly. However, I was disappointed with their crepes as they were more like blobs of sauce, dough, and spinach rather than traditional crepes. The flavor was good but the presentation and texture were off. I couldn't eat it, so the manager kindly removed it from our bill. Parking is limited and the wait times can be quite long, usually around 35 minutes.

The servings are really big and the food is amazing. You might have to wait a while to be seated, but it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend trying the apple pancake - it's not your average pancake with some apple slices on top, it's so much more delicious! However, it's a good idea to share it as a dessert for the whole table.

Stopped by this morning and had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, potatoes, sausage and pancakes. So so good but too much food..could not finish it all but oh so tasty. My server JR was very pleasant and quite efficient. The restaurant is clean andthey have installed plexiglass dividers at booth locations which looks great and protects your space from dreaded germs and theCOVID monster. The coffee was fantastic and yummy. I truly enjoyed the food, which was well prepared and tasty, the service,which was top notch and the environment, which was clean and well maintained. They even had some good background music going onlike Otis Redding and Joe Cocker kinda tunes. Thanks to the staff and JR specifically. Highly recommended

I thought I took more photos than these but I scarfed down that cup of freshly squeezed orange juice too quickly... so here's a photo of my husband's cup of juice behind the sauces. I ordered the blueberry waffle with a side of bacon strips, and the hubbygot the eggs michael. We both finished everything since it was that good! The blueberry waffle syrup was PERFECTION. Not toosweet, and still had that refreshing fruity taste unlike most syrups. The staff was also super friendly and gave off a warm,comfortable vibe. Feels like home dining here and food tastes home made (but better since I can't cook to this level at homelol)! Came here on a Friday morning for brunch so the wait wasn't bad (about 15 minutes). Be prepared for a long wait on theweekends!
