Eat On - Allahābād

The restaurant is situated at very prime location (I.e. at Civil Lines). Also taste of biryani is very good. Very popular among locals. Nice choice.

I don't know why this place is on 56 rank here but truth is this one of the famous joints of Allahabad for biryani lovers. You'll find this place full of customers every time. They don't have sitting facility but masal chicken biryani is awesome.

While in Allahabad once visited this popular (fast) food joint. Situated in the famous palace cinema compound, it serves only non-veg items remains closed on Tuesdays. Always filled with some customers. Stuff are available at cheaper rates e.g. Rs. 10/- for paratha, Rs. 20/- for mutton kebab etc. Half plate chicken biryani (1 pc chicken) is available for Rs. 50/-. There is no place to sit. One has to eat in standing position among roaming dogs looking greedily for left overs. Take away packets are available. Service is prompt. One thing which needs improvement is on the front of hygiene. Presently one has to compromise.

No doubt ,eat on serves very good biryani, but there is no place to sit, NO TABLE , NO CHAIR ...nothing. So if you are lucky and you find a scooter or motorcycle parked nearby, you can enjoy your meal while you keep your plate on the seat and eat it while standing .The other problem is the dogs .All the time while you are enjoying your biryani or kebab,you are worried about the dog who is watching you.and it takes away all the fun of good food. Biryani here is EXCELLENT, but again...you have to savour it on the road while standing AND you have to wait really long to get your order

One of the best chicken biryani you will be getting here. Its kebabs and parantha are good. I found my tongue out for Roasted dishes. Some of the best dish I ate here..
