Feedback gevenThe first time here. My wife and I were sitting in the waitress. We ordered 2 raspberry teas. We filed our orders. Chicken stable with french fries, salad with Ranch Dressing. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. Appetizer Mozzarella Sticks. Salad first came out, it was warm and everything was gummy. The packs of the ranch were warm. We sent the whole salad back untouched. It was terrible. Mozzarella Sticks came next, the sticks were decent. Bread was good. But the sauce was terrible. It was like a paste and it had a really terrible aftertaste. Then the most important courses came out. My wife ordered the chicken stable and was already worried about the mozzarella sticks. She was right. She tried and, of course, the sauce was just terrible. A strong paste and terrible to taste. She only ate her frits and 3 bites of the parm. I got the burger. My meal was not terrible overall, the Burger was decent. Cooked the way I wanted and everything with enough ketchup and Mayo on it can be quite decent. We had a problem with food, we realized it clearly, we sent very large portions of food that were hardly touched. Nothing has been done. The staff didn't say anything, the owner went around and didn't do anything. Of course, to say my family and I never come back to the restaurant. During the time to sit there, read my wife and I through the reviews and it is clear that a once good restaurant has fallen. By reading it clearly shows that many people feel the same way about eating and the institution as a whole.
I'm sorry. I support local businesses but I don't think I will come back to this Diner. For 1. The menu..... Ummm yeah a lot of items they were out of. 2 My daughters dad ordered meatloaf with mash/gravy and he wanted mixed veggies and of course they only thing they had was corn. When his food was brought out I literally thought they brought him 2 sliced of wheat bread with a scoop of ice cream. It was so dry that he had to pour gravy on it. He even said the gravy tasted nasty. I just had sunny side up eggs, bacon, toast and watered down coffee. So our server asked if I would like a refill on my coffee and I said yes please and she said okay I'll be right back with your coffee........ I'm still waiting on my refill and it's the next day. My daughter had French fries and chicken tenders, her food looked as if I just went into a supermarket and purchased a bag of French fries and just tossed them into hot oil to fry, pulled them out and serve them. Now I'm don't want to downgrade this establishment at all. I know that the pandemic caused a lot of businesses to lose a lot of money so therefore they try not to get rid of unused food/products, however I'm this case they make too darn obvious because I have never seen meatloaf as dry as a slice of wheat bread.
Delish !!! Our food was great ! Breakfast was great, scrambled eggs with cheese were perfect, scrapple was cooked great! Burger was delish with a generous portion of fries ! Definitely would come back. Our waitress was so nice !
I'm surprised I haven't come here since Trivet is close to my area, but here I am finally. Not the friendliest atmosphere, but quick service. They seem understaffed, but the waitress did her best. Also took a gamble as the reviews were not the most appetizing, but my experience today was good. The food did take some time, I only ordered home fries with eggs and my mom ordered an omelette. The omelette wasn't dry and the home fries were good. My home fries was on the soft side and my mom's were crunchy. I don't mind soft home fries, so I like it. However, if you like consistent texture for your home fries, you won't find it here. The wait is longer than other diners.
The Trivet has been been around for a long time in the Lehigh Valley. Used to eat here all the time until we moved to Florida in 2006. Glad to see they are still alive and well serving up great food. I had to order my go to breakfast? Western Omelette with cheese, home fries, wheat toast and a side of Scrapple. The SOS (cream chipped beef) was also delicious that my Mom ordered. FYI, it?s not on the menu but you can ask for it. Keep up the great work Trivet Diner. See you on my next visit to Allentown ?
