Amarone - Alleroed

On this occasion, the owner felt we had visited so often, he conjured up a 3 course menu on the spot with a specially selected wine. The starter consisted of 6 different Italian specialties and were absolutely delicious. This was followed by some amazing beef and finally a dessert that we lingered over on account of how full we were. As always, staff were professional, friendly and very welcoming. Worth every penny!

This is a favourite haunt for great food. The menu caters for all budgets and tastes and offers a great selection of wines. The staff are so incredibly friendly and this is a true gem.

No trip to Denmark is complete without a dinner at Amarone. We skipped the starter, hoping to have room for dessert. The meat was gorgeous and the vegetables cooked to perfection. We thought there was room for dessert, but had to give up halfway through due to the generous portions. As always, staff go above and beyond. A true gem off the beaten path.

As we had tickets for couple of concerts in Hillerød, we found a cottage to stay in lillerød. Our host suggested this restaurant as one of best in area. and we were not disappointed. We decided on dish of Penne with slices of beef fillet and chicken in Gorgonzola sauce. It was perfect. The house wine was great and value for money, two pasta dishes, two glasses of wine and bottle of elderberry juice came to 440 DKK. The jar of water plus the olives, pesto and bread included free of charge. Fantastic service, food and ambiance, cant ask for more.

We visited on my Vietnamese partner’s birthday and had a great but not too expensive dinner. I had asked if they had a Vietnamese flag (which of course they didn’t , but beside the Danish flag the restaurant had printed small Vietnamese flags and sprinkled them on the table. Very nice touch. We are coming back.
