I think on three separate orders of two meals we have had missing items on at least one meal or another order delivered entirely. Completely incompetent management who are better equipped to be greeting at a Walmart than running a restaurant
Service was very slow. Our waitress looked lost, and confused. Didn’t know if she had too many tables to serve or what the issue was. Food was not as tasty compared to other Montana’s. The restaurant itself was a bit clean but the washrooms were filthy though.
Don't do it, HORRIBLE LOCATION. I am a big fan of Montana's, we've gone to this location several times since we live close to it. However we will never return, do to the experiences we had each time we visited. In our last visit we went for our anniversary dinner and were very disappointed again. We ordered the deep fried pickles as an appetizer, took 45 minutes to arrive. My husband ordered the special Caesar that comes with a rib, it hadn't arrived before the appetizer so we inquired about it. She explained that the bar tender was very busy but would follow up, not sure how that was possible cause the table were nearly empty (only about 5-6 other guest), there were only a few people sitting at the actual bar. 20 minutes later he finally received his drink, which took longer cause they had to wait on the kitchen for the rib. Then he had asked for one with no spice, yet it was so hot, burning going down. Our food finally arrived two hours after ordering, I had ordered a rare steak and baked potato dinner. Had to send the steak back, I knew as soon as the waitress put the plate in front of me that it was over cooked. Once I cut into it there was no pink to be found, it was very well done. I called the waitress over and showed her the steak and asked for a new one, she apologized and went into the kitchen and yelled a refire of it right away. Then the manager came to our table, saying he needed to see the steak before they can replace it, even though the waitress told him she saw it. He then said to make up for it he get get the kitchen to make us some fries while we wait for the steak. I informed him that I didn't need more food I would just eat my potato while I wait, that I'd appreciate a discount on my bill instead do to this and the long wait and bad service for everything. He said ok, however when the bill came there was no discount. Then the manager was too busy to come out and speak with me again?
Possible staffing shortage issue ?? But had to wait 30 minutes to get drinks once seated, told the kitchen was backed up and we'd have to wait to order food. ? Finally got food, asked for drink refills, another 15 minutes... poor service all around.
We were a bit unsure where to land for the night as there are not many choices in Alliston. Thought we’d give Montanas a go, and we are SO glad we did. Nick made our night extremely special. We arrived before close, but we were treated with the upmost care by the happiest young man. Food was timely excellent, our booth was fairly clean and service blew us away. “Andrew” cooked our steak a perfect Well Done. Nick Checked in accordingly and offered many side dishes and desserts, teas and coffee. Not only that, but he gave my daughter a birthday surprise we will never forget. We will be recommending this location to all of our friends. Thank you, Nick.
