Absolutely the best experience with food I’ve had in my life, excellent service amazing wine and the food to die for, this place is a must if you visit Spain, no food anywhere in Canada can compare
We had evening dinner here and I'm afraid that we left very confused trying to figure out how they managed to get a Michelin star. In June my wife and I went the Arriaga restaurant which may have spoiled our opinion of Tony Garcia's but my wife is a very good cook and there was nothing served to us in Tony Garcia's that she could not prepare at home. The bill was not over the top but it was to celebrate our wedding anniversary so it wasn't case of money, we just wanted a memorable meal which unfortunately we didn't get.
(ES) De visita por Almería, no podía perder la oportunidad de probar este restaurante y la verdad es que no defraudó, pero no nos sorprendió como esperábamos. Nada más entrar destacaba mucho la decoración a base de verduras que le da un toque chic, natural y vistoso. El personal fue muy simpático y con sentido del humor, lo cual nos gustó mucho. Las mesas tenían el tamaño perfecto para no sentirte muy distanciado de tu acompañante y que todo cupiera adecuadamente. La comida mostraba calidad en el plato y, después, en el paladar. Personalmente, me encantó el carpaccio de presa de bellota. El resto de platos estuvieron muy bien pero, en general, no me sentí sorprendido por las altas expectativas que tenía y porque no elegimos los mejores platos que podía presentarnos este restaurante. También comentar que la presentación fue sobria y sencilla dando un toque de honestidad y humildad a los platos. (EN) Visiting Almería, I couldn't miss the chance to try this restaurant and, to be honest, it didn't disappoint us, but it didn't surprise us as we expected. As soon as you enter, a decoration based on vegetables stands out giving it a chic, eye-catching and natural look. Staff was very nice and had a sense of humour, which we liked so much. Size of the table was perfect, so I didn't feel that my partner was far away and all the stuff fit properly (cutlery, glasses and so on). Food showed quality on the plate and, then, on the palate. Personally, I loved carpaccio of acorn presa (a cut of pork meat). The rest of the dishes were very good, but I wasn't surprised, in general, due to the high expectations and the fact that we thought we didn't choose the best dishes of this restaurant. I would also like to say that the appearance of the dishes was plain and clear giving to them a touch of honesty and humility.
