Great selection of Indonesian cuisine but quite pricey
A disappointment. Much better tasting and more authentic Nasi Padang experience elsewhere.
A good place for lunch if you are in Alor Setar. Friendly owner and affordable nasi padang food.
MYR9 for a piece of fish and a blade of vegetables is expansive by Malaysian food standard. But if you taste and it reminds you of Padang's kitchen, then the price is reasonable. Her fish (I think it's a siakap) cooked in coconut milk with tuna or in Malay it would be Ikan Masak Lemak is nicely prepared, the fish is fresh and the cow is slightly spicy and milky rich. The beans are still crisp and with addition in soybean curd there was a nice contrast. The Sambal-Hijo is not sharp at all. It is a pleasure to eat because of a lot of Ikan bilis were thrown into the Sambal mix. For drinks, can not comment as I go a simple ice cool water to my lunch. Owh, almost forgotten, they gave free porridge (if there are any) and this time it is wheat. Come and sample it for yourself at least ONCE. You have varieties of the original Padang cuisine.
