Each time we ate there, the service was efficient, and friendly. The chef takes pride in his kitchen and the food was correspondingly delicious, based around fresh local ingredients and local dishes. The bruschetta was exceptional, and ordered each time!
We were having trouble finding a sit-down restaurant for lunch in Altamura. Luckily a butcher stepped outside of his grocery store and we flagged him down and asked him where to go. A friend of his led us to Alla Povera Vita. After a salad we had orichiette with sausage, mushrooms, and tomato sauce and trofie with veal strips and cherry tomatoes. He brought us some zeppole after dinner gratis. Everything was good and we were happy to sit down for a leisurely lunch.
Nice restaurant inside out in Altamura historic center near Duomo , about 200 mt. You can eat some local foods as cavatelli orecchiette more good bread wine . Kinde staff and good price
We were recommended by the local bakery (who is probably best friend) The priced seemed low so we thought we could eat like at home for little. Instead, after we ate our shared antipasto plate, costata beef, and tagliata with side of cicoria with water and 1 glass wine the bill was 50! Well she added wrong too so it came to 40 after corrected. The worst part is half the meat was inedible because of so much grissle! We told the server who had the owner come over but he did nothing. There are so many good eateries so do you waste a meal at this place! If only he had offered something he could at least prevented this bad review.
