I really enjoyed 10/10 working: came back with a whole bonnet of us and we had rose chicken and roasted bark between us and it was amazing
First of all this delightful little inn is much nearer to Altarnun than Launceston but it is well worth the effort to visit. Classic Cornish public house with its front room bar. Varied and interesting menu with fresh salads, daily specials etc., not just the usual pub grub. Between the three of us we had oxtail soup and dumplings, fresh white crab avocado mango salad, blue cheese chicory walnuts salad with sherry dressing, plus some fresh bread and olives. Dog friendly, plenty of local beers to choose from. Check before going because staff shortages have caused some variation in opening times/ days. Highly recommended.
The food was really exceptional clearly a lot of care and attention has gone into creating the menu. There were some interesting combinations in each dish and everything was packed full of flavour. The staff were lovely too so all round an excellent place, a bit off the beaten track but well worth a detour.
Lovely old pub. Excellent food cooked from scratch. Menu is varied. We are regulars and cannot recommend it highly enough. Good service. Dog friendly. You will not be disappointed. I recommend the crab salad, and mussels.
Visited with the family for lunch last Saturday. Under new ownership. The food was exceptional, service wonderful and welcoming and good value. Delicious menu and great choices for vegetarians and vegans. Highly recommend.
