Feedback gevenThe waitstaff and bartenders are exceptional. The food is inventive, generous, and reasonably priced, with a diverse menu that caters to all budgets and tastes. Great job all around! This was our third or fourth visit and we went for dinner this time. We started with the bibb salad, which was generously portioned, perfectly dressed, and beautifully presented. The charcuterie board filled with meats and cheeses was also impressive, offering enough for sharing among several people, with a thoughtful mix of cured meats, grilled onions, fruits, and cheeses. For the main course, the pappardelle with pesto salmon was absolutely divine. The pasta was cooked to perfection, combined with vegetables and a rustic sauce. Even though the portion was satisfying, I could easily have eaten two servings because it was so delicious. The bartenders showed a high level of expertise, clearly having experience in top-quality restaurants. The drinks featured high-quality ingredients and a wide selection of liquor, not just one or two options for each type. Service was excellent—welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. Great job, Jonna! The owner was actively involved, checking on staff and patrons throughout the evening. We can't wait for our next visit!
I visited this restaurant during a weekend getaway and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. We chose to sit in the bar area, which had a lively, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend the Rattlesnake peppers appetizer, the French onion soup, and the lobster roll—they were all superb!
I have been coming to this restaurant since last summer, and it has quickly become my favorite place to dine. The food is amazing, and the staff is superb. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Mark, the owner, truly goes above and beyond to make sure every customer feels well looked after. If you're in the area or staying nearby, I highly recommend paying a visit. You won't be let down!
Several of us ordered the fish and chips, which turned out to be disappointing. The batter was too heavy and greasy, and the fish was mushy instead of the flaky texture you'd expect from fresh, well-prepared haddock. It seemed likely that the fish was frozen rather than being expertly prepared and cooked. Based on my experience, I probably wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend The Lodge at Smith Point.
What a delightful surprise! We've passed by this place numerous times, and we finally decided to have dinner here with friends. We started with a delightful salad topped with candied walnuts and cheese, followed by a massive burger adorned with crispy bacon strips. Every bite was a joy. The biggest surprise, however, was the incredible dessert—a brownie topped with toasted marshmallow, vanilla ice cream, and bacon. Oh my, it was absolutely divine! Mark Poirier, the owner, personally visited each table to ensure everyone was well taken care of. One thing to keep in mind is that you should plan for a leisurely evening, as the service pace is relaxed. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out for yourself!
