I was greeted and anointed by the owner of the sohne and a very irritable waiter. I was invited to sit on one of their tables and ordered a pizza help del cuoco (a pizza with gogonzola cheese and birne and no tomato sauce) and helped four seasons pizza (tomato, mozzarella, artichoke, mushroom, black oliven) and to take a carbonara spaghetti. unnecessary to say they were extremely good, though, when I were home the pizza and the spaghetti were cold. I was very impressed by the thin and tasty pizza dough, but more with the way all the aromen came up in my mouth. the ingredients were neither burned nor the pizza dough. the spaghetti was perfectly cooked and the Carbonara sauce was the best I ever had in my whole life. today I went with my parents to the family dinner in the restaurant. we ordered to start a artichoke with four cheese varieties, and a carpaccio di manzo (thin layers of fillet steak, mushrooms, olive oil, bevel, lemon juice, capern and parmesan cheese). the artichoke was exquisite, the outer leaves a little hard as expected, but the rest was tender and simply delicious with this four-cheese sauce that has gorgonzola cheese and gives the delicate taste of the artichoke a push that perfectly complements it. the carpaccio di manzo is by far the best I ever had in my whole life. the aromes embedded in the ingredients, and the exact amount of everything makes this dish a simple perfection. afterwards we ordered a lasagna della nona (classical meat lasagne,) a calzoni vesuvio (tomates, mozzarella, artichoke, mushrooms, black olives, a bit sharp,) and a pizza: half quattro formaggi (Mozzarella cheese, parmesan, provolone and gorgonzola) and half pizza saporrto everyone who knows me knows I'm not a big fan of meat lasagna, so I was afraid to try it. I was very surprised to try real meat tomato sauce. this was not their typical tasteless, commercial sauce, no. that tasted like the real deal! I immediately felt transported to italy, their culture and their aromes. I just loved it! the calzoni was also exquisite. I loved how every single one of the ingredients tasted in my mouth, combined with the cheese and the diligent made it just delicious. my only regret is that some of the teig was a little thick at the edges, but this is expected on a calzoni. the teig of the pizza was again very good, very thin and beautiful taste. the amount of ingredients was also great and it tasted really good. I didn't like it as much as the cuoco or the four seasons pizza, but it was far from being bad. to finish our meal, we ended with a round dessert: tiramisu and fruits that are immersed in Marsala wine. the fruits that consisted in blueberries, strawberries, celestial and cowardly, where they were trimmed and excellent in delicious marsala wine. our only problem came with the tiramisu. the court we were shown was very different in the presentation. it was served on a cup instead of a small cake shaped tiramisu. a bite and we could see that it was an old tiramisu because it was dry and the coffee taste was almost tasteless. we immediately told the employees in the restaurant about it and they were very nice to bring us another tiramisu, now like the ones we were shown and the taste was quite different than the first. it was extraordinary the difference between one and the other. I have to say that it was the best tiramisu I had. So, finally: this restaurant is quite the one. I was surprised to know that they are 5 years open to the public and I have never heard of it, but very glad I did. it is a place where each court they feel as if they are in italia, enjoy their gast friendship, their food, their culture and beautiful things that it has to offer. the quality of meals and the attention of the staff is also very remarkable and deserves a praise. all I have to say is well done and keep them the great work they have done!
Amazingly, my wife had a red snapper that luigi had cooked for her, I order a spaghetti pomodoro and a steak with a pfeffer sauce that was unique! best italian in Mexico City
This is our local and how fortunate we are to have a world-class Italian restaurant in our suburb. The food is excellent. Chef will help out with a suggestion. Specials board always exciting. Pretty good wine list. Caring service.
A new alternative for casual Italian food franchises at Mexico City, it has a nice atmosphere, a wide variety of dishes and drinks and a good service. It is a fine place to have a friends or family meal or dinner. Valet and self parking...is available at this locations, it has an interior area and a terrace.
This place is great! it is a beautiful place, and eating is exceptional! luigi is the owner, a true Italian cook that gives its restaurant care and love. I always have a good time and good food there. it's in a little plaza called. grand san francisco. they might think it's not too beautiful, but the place is from the rest places there. if they are in the south, near san angel, coyoacan or desierto de los leones, this is an excellent place for dinner or lunch. the terrace is very beautiful.
