Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

"Well, it's Cracker Barrel—do I really need to say anything else? The food is consistently outstanding, the service is good, and the atmosphere is wonderful! I ordered the Grandma's Sampler, which includes two eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, grits, and French toast. Food rating: 5/5."

The food was incredible! However, my main issue was with the price relative to the portion sizes. The fried pickles were fantastic, but there were only nine on the plate, which doesn’t justify the cost. I’ve recently had stomach surgery, so I can’t eat very much—I only have about 15% of my stomach left and I worry about it coming back. I managed to finish my chicken salad, but it was even less food than my youngest's kids' meal. While the presentation of the food was stunning, the portion sizes were simply too small. My kids were still hungry after we left.

My husband and I have visited many Cracker Barrel locations, but this one is definitely the best! We've been here on two separate long-distance trips nearly ten years apart, and we were not disappointed either time. I can't recall the name of our fantastic server from ten years ago, but our most recent server was Crystal. She was everything you could hope for in a server and went above and beyond. The food was incredible too! I had the trout and my husband ordered the fried turkey, and we both cleaned our plates. It was delicious!

This place gave me exactly what I expected from a cracker barrel. There are times when the food options in a cracker barrel are exactly what you are looking for. The food here is in line with the brand and had good flavors. I always want the dumplings and I have a great side dish of dumplings with my meal. The reason for the three-star rating is that the restaurant did not feel excessively clean. The floor was sticky everywhere and the waiting staff did not try to collect their tables at all, so you were surrounded by table to table of dirty dishes. It was like remains from a battle that had occurred on the dining room floor. Besides waiting staff was not very efficient, I just wanted to offer a training to make her life easier and I never waited a table in my life. If you drive down the highway or are moved to the hotel later at night, you can get a reliable meal in Cracker Barrel.

I would give it zero stars if I could. We went there for dinner just now and half of the items I ordered they forgot to make and then when they brought it out finally it was cold and nasty like leftovers semi reheated. I understand we ordered breakfast at supper time but it says ALL DAY breakfast. I usually look forward to the hash brown casserole and it was NASTY. Also we ordered 2 orders of cheesecake stuffed pancakes and they were cold like they had been sitting out forever. What a waste of money. The service was not good either. The only positive was the friendly host that sat us.
